Do You Have A Question? Ask Brett!

The other day I was watching a show in which one doctor was explaining something to another doctor, their conversation ended like this...

Doctor 1: "Did you learn that in medical school?"
Doctor 2: "Nope, Wikipedia!"

As the second doctor responded he made a "W" with his fingers just like Brett is making in the above picture. I literally laughed out loud because this is what life with Brett is like.

Thanks to Wikipedia, or the internet in general, Brett knows the answer to pretty much any question you have, and if he doesn't know the answer...he will find it, right then and there.

So many times we have been watching a movie and I have asked Brett a question about an actor or the context of the movie. If he doesn't know the answer he proceeds to look it up on the internet, even if it means he misses the rest of the movie in the process. I have had to learn to time my questions correctly otherwise I lose his attention until he is satisfied he has the answer.

This funny, but cute part of Brett's personality has been in full force the past few weeks due to the Olympics. The night of the opening ceremony we were with a bunch of friends that Brett went to high-school with, we all had questions about the Olympics and Brett would automatically have an answer. After answering about 10 questions everyone realized that Brett was an Olympic Guru. It was pretty funny.

Brett is too smart for his own good...I mean you should see his homework, it is all a bunch of numbers and symbols that go way over my head. He is book smart. But he is also information smart. I love that he always wants to learn about things. From stats, to history, to current news and beyond Brett wants to know all about it!

I love having my own personal, walking, talking encyclopedia!

(Literally as I finished writing this Brett turned me and said "I just read an article about life in the Olympic village..." and continued to tell me about it! Love him!).

  1. I completely agree with this! He was the same way in the mission and always impressed me with his ability to teach me something about almost anything.
